Overview
We are seeking a PMP Project Manager who will support our NYS client. This role will lead delivery governance, schedule management, milestones, and cross-functional coordination for the CFA Redesign and Hosting modernization initiative. The Project Manager will support the design, development, migration, and cloud hosting of a new application platform that improves applicant and agency user experience. Duties:
Lead overall project delivery governance for the CFA Redesign and Hosting initiative, including schedule, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and status reporting.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across application development, business stakeholders, QA, infrastructure, cloud hosting, security, data migration, reporting, and support workstreams.
Manage project planning and execution activities for the design, development, migration, and implementation of a modern cloud-based CFA application platform.
Facilitate stakeholder communication with ESD administrators, participating agencies, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership to align scope, priorities, and delivery expectations.
Track progress against project objectives, elevate risks and blockers, maintain project artifacts, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Support planning for historical CFA data migration, user acceptance testing, deployment readiness, transition to hosting operations, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and ongoing support.
Mandatory Qualifications
8+ years of experience managing complex IT/application implementation projects.
Experience leading cloud-based application development or modernization initiatives.
Experience managing cross-functional teams, including development, business, QA, and infrastructure teams.
Strong experience with project planning, timelines, milestones, risks/issues, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with government, state agency, or enterprise implementation projects preferred.
Experience supporting application modernization initiatives involving legacy platform replacement, data migration, configurable workflows, reporting, dashboards, and analytics capabilities preferred.
Experience coordinating secure cloud hosting, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and ongoing support planning preferred.
