Senior Equipment Technician

We are looking for a Senior Equipment Technician who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and leadership, to play a key role in maintaining our stations and ensuring our emissions equipment operates at peak performance.
Summary
To provide preventative maintenance and technical field service support to all testing locations, and maintain the equipment and facilities following set schedules and procedures.
Job Description
Perform routine diagnostics, calibration, preventive maintenance and repair of all emission related equipment and other lane systems following set schedules and procedures.
Install, test and calibrate equipment.
May interface with subcontractor representatives during installation, repair and/or maintenance of equipment.
May assist in maintenance and/or repair of other company electrical and electronic systems such as alarm, Network systems, and computer peripheral systems.
Direct technicians in their day to day activities and may be called upon to manage in the absence of the Tech Support Manager.
Assist in the training and technical development of technical support staff.
Ensure all preventive maintenance tasks are performed per established procedures.
Complete necessary paperwork, report on assigned work and assist in the completion of records, reports, and other documents.
Receive service calls from the stations in their region and dispatch equipment technicians as necessary.
Manage special projects and perform other tasks as required by the Tech Support Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
4 or more years of field service experience.
Must be familiar with test equipment, including digital voltmeters, and other types of test equipment
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be capable of properly lifting 75 pounds from ground level to chest level.
Ability to work outside normal working hours, overtime, and in extreme hot and cold conditions.
Must be able to work independently and with little supervision.
Ability to use mechanical and electronic tools and equipment.
Previous supervisory experience highly desirable.
