HVAC Estimator / Project Manager

Position SummaryThe HVAC Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HVAC service department. This role manages technicians, ensures high-quality service delivery, maintains customer satisfaction, and drives department profitability. The HVAC Service Manager ensures compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices while supporting team development and operational efficiency.EstimatingReview project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed HVAC cost estimatesPerform take-offs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricingSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bidsPrepare and submit competitive proposals and bid packagesIdentify value engineering opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining qualityMaintain estimating database and historical cost recordsProject ManagementOversee HVAC projects from award through closeoutDevelop project schedules, budgets, and timelinesCoordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teamsManage procurement of materials and equipmentTrack project progress, costs, and change ordersEnsure compliance with contract documents, codes, and safety standardsConduct site visits and attend project meetingsResolve project issues and mitigate risksFinancial & AdministrativeMonitor job costs and profitabilityPrepare and review RFIs, submittals, and change ordersAssist with billing, invoicing, and project reportingMaintain project documentation and recordsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred)3-7+ years of experience in HVAC estimating and/or project managementStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and industry standardsProficiency in estimating software (e.g., FastPIPE, Trimble, Bluebeam)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong organizational, communication, and negotiation skillsValid driver's license
