Queue was founded by Nick Desai (6x founder, previously CEO of Heal) and Joshua Liu (previously Tesla, Waymo, and Zipline).About The RoleAs Technician Lead, you'll be the hands-on anchor of our build floor, leading a small team of technicians through the assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of complex electromechanical robotic systems. You'll work side by side with design and manufacturing engineers to build prototype and pilot-production units, execute test protocols, and create the build documentation that carries our product from prototype to production at scale.What makes this role extraordinary:Direct impact on millions of patients through breakthrough pharmacy automation. The machines you and your team build will dispense medication to real patients, with the opportunity to set the quality bar and build the technician team from the ground up as we scale nationwide.Lead the Technician TeamLead, schedule, and mentor a small team of assembly and test technicians; assign daily work and monitor output against build schedulesTrain technicians on assembly best practices, tooling, fixtures, and quality standardsServe as first point of contact for issues that arise during builds, escalating to engineering with clear, data-backed reportsMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked lab and build areaBe a champion of company safety practicesMechanical & Electromechanical AssemblyAssemble precision mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies, mechanisms, actuators, wire harnesses, and sensor packages to pharmaceutical-grade quality standardsRead and interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and tolerances to execute builds accuratelyUse hand tools, torque tools, presses, custom fixtures, and semi-automated equipment for repeatable, high-quality assemblyBuild and modify electrical PCB assemblies with the ability to rework surface-mount and through-hole componentsUse benchtop equipment like power supplies, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to follow basic electrical work instructions for PCBA bring-up and testInspect incoming parts for defects and confirm part availability ahead of buildsTroubleshooting & Test ExecutionTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical issues during assembly and bring-up; partner with engineers to root-cause and resolve themExecute test plans and validation protocols on subassemblies and full systems; adapt procedures where specifications are still being definedBuild and maintain assembly jigs, test fixtures, and validation setupsRecord, analyze, and communicate test results; provide detailed written and verbal status updates to engineering and leadershipBuild Documentation & ProcessCreate, red-line, and maintain assembly work instructions, SOPs, travelers, and test proceduresDocument issues, deviations, and improvements discovered during builds and feed them back into design and processSupport the transition from prototype builds to repeatable pilot production, including DFx feedback to engineeringHelp establish quality checkpoints and build-record discipline as we scale toward volume productionRequired Qualifications And ExperiencesWe don't care about your degrees.
