What You'll Need: --- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program --- ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy --- Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required --- 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist Minimum Requirements / Client-Specific Requirements: --- ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required. --- Current state license to practice radiation therapy required. Client requires a Maryland license for openings at their Maryland campus; Pennsylvania-licensed candidates may be considered for the Newtown Square, PA hospital but must meet state licensure requirements. --- BLS certification required. --- Minimum 2 years clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred. --- Experience collaborating with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists in treatment planning and simulation required. --- Experience operating external beam radiation therapy equipment and immobilization devices preferred. Assignment Details Facility Type: Hospital Shift Name: Days Shift Details: Days 0800-1630 Primary Specialty: Radiation Therapist Additional Duties: --- Administer ionizing radiation therapy in accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescriptions. --- Collaborate with physicist, dosimetrist, chief therapist, and oncology team during planning and simulation. --- Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiation therapy equipment and verify proper functionality. --- Accurately position patients, ensure immobilization, and confirm treatment setup prior to therapy delivery. --- Verify treatment plans, dosages, and patient identity with the oncology team before each fraction. --- Monitor patients for acute adverse reactions and manage immediate care per protocol. --- Document treatments, maintain accurate records, and communicate changes to the care team. Preferred Qualifications: --- Experience in a hospital-based radiation oncology department preferred. --- Proficiency with CT simulation, IMRT/VMAT planning workflows, and record-and-verify systems preferred.
