Principal Enterprise Architect – Product-to-Market (P2M)Primary Skills: Product-to-Market P2M (Expert), Enterprise Architecture (Expert), Merchandising Planning (Expert), Retail Supply Chain (Advanced), AI/ML & API Integration (Advanced)Contract Type: W2 OnlyLocation: Pleasanton, CA or San Francisco, CA (Onsite)Duration: 12+ MonthsPay Range: $100-$110 on W2Job Summary: We are seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect – Product-to-Market (P2M) to support the design, assessment, and modernization of a retail Product-to-Market ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in merchandising planning, retail supply chain architecture, AI/ML-driven capabilities, and composable enterprise architecture. This role requires close collaboration with business, engineering, and data teams to drive strategic architecture initiatives within a retail/fashion environment.Key Responsibilities:Assess and modernize the Product-to-Market (P2M) architecture and vendor landscape.Develop architecture roadmaps aligned with merchandising and supply chain strategies.Define API-first, cloud-native, and event-driven integration patterns.Advise on AI/ML use cases for personalization, forecasting, and P2M automation.Partner with business, engineering, and data teams on platform evaluations and integrations.Produce architecture documentation, governance artifacts, and technical recommendations.Must-have Skills:10+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience in Product-to-Market (P2M) and Supply Chain.Strong retail merchandising planning experience including Line Planning, Buy Planning, Allocation, Visual Mapping, Space Planning, Sizing & Packing, and Consumer Insights.Experience in Retail and Fashion/Apparel industries.Expertise in cloud-native, API-first, and event-driven architectures.Experience with AI/ML applications in marketing or merchandising.Strong stakeholder communication, architecture documentation, and leadership skills.Nice-to-have Skills:Experience with Agentic AI or LLM-based P2M automation.Knowledge of MACH and composable architecture principles.Experience evaluating retail technology vendors and platform modernization initiatives.Direct experience with DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) or enterprise retail organizations.
