Aerospace Roll Threader Houston TX 77035We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Roll Threader to set up and operate thread rolling machines in a precision manufacturing environment. This role focuses on producing high-quality threaded fasteners used in aerospace and similar high-spec industries. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, can interpret detailed engineering drawings, and is comfortable maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.Aerospace Roll Threader Job Duties:Set up and operate two-die cylindrical thread rolling machines to produce threaded fasteners such as bolts, studs, and pins to specificationInterpret engineering drawings, work orders, and process sheets including thread class, pitch diameter, and major and minor diametersSelect, install, and align thread rolling dies and supporting toolingPerform die changes, machine adjustments, and minor repairs as neededConduct first article and in-process inspections using thread plug and ring gages, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparator equipmentAdjust machine settings such as feed, pressure, speed, lubrication, and part orientation to maintain quality standardsIdentify and correct thread defects such as drunken threads, torn material, taper, pitch errors, and out-of-round conditionsCollaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on new part setups, trials, and process improvementsComplete all required production and quality documentation accuratelyFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaAerospace Roll Threader Requirements:3+ years of experience in thread rolling, thread forming, or cold heading in a precision manufacturing environmentExperience in aerospace, turbomachinery, or power generation fastener manufacturing preferredFamiliarity with UNJ threads, fillet rolled roots, and underhead filletsHands-on experience rolling threads on alloy steels and superalloysAbility to read and interpret blueprints including GD&T and thread specifications (UN/UNJ, metric)Proficiency with inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, thread gages, and comparatorsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsSteel-toe shoes requiredNo felonies in the last 3 years, no violent felonies everMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screeningPay: $26.00+ DOE Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Location: Houston, TX 77035SNELLING is a contingency recruiting firm, placing candidates in temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire positions for over 75 years.
