Systems Engineer - RemoteDuration: 12 monthsWe are looking for a highly skilled professional with DHA/DOD business knowledge and technical expertise, including software development experience. Join us to implement strategies, evaluate technologies, and build infrastructure supporting our customers' evolving needs.Objectives of this role:Manage and monitor IT systems, including infrastructure and systems installations, configuration, testing, and maintenance.Collaborate with Data Center, Operations Teams, and Medical Community of Interest Network teams to design and implement solutions.Implement and maintain strategies for development, deployment, backup, security, and redundancy using DOD-approved encryption and Cloud-Based Technologies.Work in Fedramp High Cloud Environments to secure Controlled Unclassified Information.Identify technical risks and issues, recommend mitigation strategies, and implement solutions.Perform analysis of alternatives, evaluating different products against technical and functional requirements.Lead technology modernization efforts, utilizing innovative solutions such as RPA, AI/ML, etc.Engage with upper management, providing reports on project status, activities, and achievements.Responsibilities: Communicate with executive leadership, clients, and stakeholders to provide status, risks, issues, and recommended strategies for systems implementations and sustainment.Implement IT solutions that meet business mission and requirements, including SLAs, cybersecurity, and availability requirements.Develop documentation using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio to support technical communication with stakeholders.Review third-party vendor documentation and provide feedback and recommendations.Install COTS/GOTS applications on Windows or Linux environments to confirm functionality and documentation.Provide troubleshooting support and lead efforts across multiple teams to resolve IT issues.Test software routinely for bugs, redundancies, and security issues.Conduct high-level root-cause analysis of service interruptions and establish preventive measures.Required skills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in technology, information systems, or computer science.2 years of experience in system integration or a related field.2 years of relevant software development experience in .Net, Java, and/or Salesforce.Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.Experience in agile development utilizing processes such as Scrum and SAFe, and using tools such as Jira and Serena ALM.Experience with programming languages, operating systems, monitoring tools, trouble ticket systems, and COOP/DR solutions.Experience in managing application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically AWS or Microsoft Azure).Preferred skills and qualifications: 3 to 5 years of software development experience.Experience working with monitoring tools such as AppWorks, Splunk, and/or Microsoft System Center.Experience working with AWS GovCloud.Experience with Salesforce and/or OpenText products.Professional certification such as CISSP, Security+, AWS, etc.
