Sales Engineer II

Job DescriptionThe Sales Engineer II is responsible for using technical knowledge of Inductive Automation’s product offerings to support the Sales Division by providing excellent service to the company’s customers, guiding implementation based on customer requirements and executing strategies to grow sales. The Sales Engineer II analyzes customers’ technical specifications, recommending the best product configuration and installation processes while understanding the implementation effort, time, and resources. The Sales Engineer II must develop and deliver technical demonstrations and education, architectures and best practices to Inductive Automation’s end-users and Integrators to grow customer loyalty. The Sales Engineer II will begin to work with Enterprise customers, fostering a relationship with those customers to help them reach their long term goals as an Enterprise. This is a full-time position with remote, hybrid and on-site opportunities available.ResponsibilitiesProviding end-users, integrators, and customers technical demonstrations and web demos; including demonstrations of Ignition, answering technical questions and architecture discussionsHosting Lunch and Learns, webinars, and training sessions for Integrators and customers, educating them on specific features of IgnitionAssisting customers with questionnaires and RFPs/RFIsProviding solution support to end-users, integrators, and customers to ensure they have the knowledge needed to successfully thrive using Ignition softwareAttending various conferences, trade shows, and events; travel may be requiredAssisting with Ignition Benchmark Testing Building Ignition Exchange resourcesHaving the ability to work with enterprise accountsContinuing to improve upon your sales pipelineProactively working with integrators to move them through the levels of the company’s Integrator ProgramProactively fostering Ignition growth within targeted end-usersAssisting with internal trainings and projectsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and at least 2-4+ years of programming and/or database experience OR 4-7+ years of programming and/or database experienceCertifications such as: programming bootcamps, cloud infrastructure, networking OR 2-4 years of experience in these areasExperience with Ignition and familiarity with Ignition modules and architecturesAbility to provide basic technical demonstrationsMust be fluent in English and SpanishAbout UsWho are we?Champions for industrial automation innovation and driven by a mission statement to empower our customers to swiftly turn great ideas into reality by removing all technological and economic obstacles, we create and deliver solutions that relieve pain points, bring efficiency to operations and optimize integration.Why Choose Inductive Automation?Our passion goes beyond customers.
