Job Summary:As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will work underneath the office manager and with a team to provide administrative and clerical support to management, departments, staff, and clients. In this entry-level role, you will have the benefit of working face-to-face with our clients and linking them to services to help them in their journey. Additionally, you will gain operational knowledge of a Non-profit and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in your work with our various departments, prescribers, mental health and substance use providers.What You Will Do:Serve as greeter for walk-ins or scheduled face-to-face or telehealth appointmentsVerify, review, and update demographic and insurance information in the agency electronic health recordGeneral knowledge of all insurance benefits and coverage, as well as Patient Verification Systems - Evolv NX, MyAbility, Navinet, NJMMIS is a plus.Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.Upload benefits in the agency Electronic Health RecordCollect payment at the time of service and/or collect past balances from the client, virtually or in-person.Answer the telephone and provide routine information. Assist clients (over the phone and in-person) by communicating in a positive, friendly and professional manner.Schedule appointments, conduct appointment confirmations/reminders.Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationWhat We Are Looking For: High School diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED)6 months to two years receptionist experience in the medical or mental health fieldBilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferredMedical insurance verification experience requiredValid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.Don't believe you meet all the preferred requirements?
