This role partners closely with Producers and internal teams to oversee service delivery while maintaining strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders — often at the HR leadership level.Success in this role looks like delivering tailored, data-driven benefit strategies, managing complex projects seamlessly, and elevating the overall client experience.Why Alera GroupMeaningful Impact - Help clients and employees navigate benefits programs that drive retention, engagement, and satisfactionGrowth & Learning - Opportunities to deepen your expertise and gain exposure to a variety of clients and industriesCollaborative Culture - Work in a team-oriented environment that values accountability, partnership, and the principles of The Collaborative WayResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do / Your ImpactClient Leadership & Relationship ManagementServe as the primary strategic partner for assigned client accountsBuild and maintain strong relationships with HR leadership and key stakeholdersLead client meetings, presentations, and ongoing communicationDevelop a deep understanding of client culture, business goals, and financial prioritiesBenefits Consulting & StrategyDesign and recommend competitive employee benefits programsConduct benchmarking and market analysis to inform plan strategyEvaluate provider networks and vendor performanceGuide clients through plan design decisions and cost management strategiesFinancial Analysis & Underwriting InsightAnalyze proposals, rate structures, and underwriting dataProvide financial insights to support client decision-makingTranslate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendationsProject Management & ExecutionOversee RFP processes, including development of bid specifications and proposal analysisManage timelines and deliverables across multiple client projectsCoordinate with internal service teams to ensure seamless executionMaintain accountability for high-quality, timely deliverablesCollaboration & Business DevelopmentPartner with Producers on client strategy and growth opportunitiesParticipate in new business efforts and finalist presentationsCollaborate with internal teams to continuously improve service deliveryQualificationsWhat You BringRequiredBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related fieldActive Life & Health LicenseMinimum 5 years of employee benefits consulting experience, preferably within a brokerage environmentStrong knowledge of group health, managed care plans, and ancillary benefitsExperience supporting fully insured and self-funded clients, including multi-state organizationsStrong financial acumen and understanding of underwriting conceptsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePreferredExperience managing mid-size clients (150–2,000 employees)Proven experience leading client presentations and strategic discussionsBackground supporting complex RFP and renewal processesCore CompetenciesStrong client presence with excellent communication and presentation skillsAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of accountability and ownershipCollaborative approach with internal teams and stakeholdersPositive, driven, and self-motivated with a strong work ethicEquivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.Additional InformationCompensation -Salary range - $94,000 – $120,000 per yearEligible for performance-based bonus - YesBenefits -Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401(k), generous PTO, and more.Work Model -This role is RemoteEastern Time Zone preferredCandidates based in Atlanta, GA - highly preferredProfessional Development – Alera Group AcademyAt Alera Group, growth isn’t left to chance.
