VR & Electronics Department Lead / Technical Event Specialist
Position OverviewWe are looking for a highly capable, tech-savvy individual to take ownership of our VR and electronics departments. This role combines leadership, advanced technical knowledge, and hands-on execution. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving our equipment, as well as ensuring smooth operation during events.This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both programming and hardware work, and is comfortable leading technical operations in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all VR systems and electronic equipmentSet up, configure, and operate VR experiences at eventsLead troubleshooting and real-time problem-solving during live eventsMaintain, repair, and rebuild hardware including wiring, soldering, and circuit componentsDiagnose and repair game systems, boards, and electronic devicesManage inventory, testing, and readiness of all technical equipmentImprove and optimize current systems (both hardware and software)Assist in developing or modifying software and interactive experiencesTrain and guide team members on proper setup and technical proceduresRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong background in computers, operating systems, and troubleshootingExperience with programming (Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar)Hands-on experience with electronics, including soldering and repairsFamiliarity with VR systems (setup, calibration, maintenance)Ability to independently diagnose and fix both hardware and software issuesStrong organizational and leadership skillsAbility to perform under pressure in live event settingsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience managing technical systems or teamsBackground in event production, AV, or interactive techKnowledge of networking, embedded systems, or custom buildsPassion for gaming, VR, and emerging technologiesWhat We’re Looking ForA hands-on technical leader who takes ownershipSomeone who enjoys both building and fixing systemsA problem-solver who can think quickly during live eventsA reliable, detail-oriented individual who can manage a critical part of our operation
