Title: Scientist I (Chemistry) Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 12 months + (possible extension) Pay: $32–$35/hrSummary:Scientist I will support manufacturing sciences by synthesizing functionalized resins used in HPLC column production. The role involves polymer chemistry processes, analytical testing, and collaboration across teams.Responsibilities:Synthesize raw and functionalized resins using established protocolsPerform polymer chemistry techniques (ATRP, grafting, polymerization)Conduct analytical testing and interpret HPLC/UPLC, GC-MS dataMonitor production issues and implement improvementsCollaborate with R&D, process development, and production teamsParticipate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiativesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry0–1 year manufacturing/lab experienceKnowledge of polymer & analytical chemistryExperience with chromatography (HPLC/UPLC)Ability to analyze resin properties (size distribution, surface area)Familiar with MS Office and quality standards (ISO9001 preferred)
