Role: PostgreSQL DBALocation: Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid)ContractRequired Skills7+ years of DBA experience with strong PostgreSQL expertise.Strong PostgreSQL, SQL, Linux/Unix experience.Performance tuning and query optimization.Backup/recovery and replication.High Availability and Disaster Recovery.Shell scripting/automation.Strong production support and troubleshooting skills.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a strong PostgreSQL DBA to manage and support enterprise PostgreSQL databases in a financial services environment.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production and non-production environments.Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, migration, and configuration.Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.Manage backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.Monitor database health, performance, capacity, and availability.Troubleshoot database issues, locking, blocking, connectivity, and replication problems.Work with developers and DevOps teams on database changes and deployments.Automate DBA tasks using Shell scripting/Python.Support production incidents and root-cause analysis.About Smart IT Frame:At Smart IT Frame, we connect top talent with leading organizations across the USA.
