Procurement SpecialistMaple Grove, MN - HybridThrifty White Pharmacy is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Maple Grove, MN to provide comprehensive support to the Procurement Team by managing critical purchasing data, monitoring market trends, maintaining procurement tools, and preparing analytical reports that inform strategic purchasing decisions. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of procurement operations, supports inventory and supply continuity, and contributes to the optimization of purchasing practices across the organization.A few of the primary responsibilities include:·         Support the Procurement Team by conducting research, compiling data, and preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for decision-making. ·         Maintain and update purchasing tools and records, including the formulary, item rolls, and procurement systems.·         Add and manage new items within procurement systems for direct purchasing needs. ·         Monitor Affiliate and Warehouse Partner pricing files; summarize items requiring review or action.·         Review spin reports and summarize key findings for Procurement leadership. ·         Evaluate temporary out-of-stock (OOS) lists and recommend replacement items in alignment with purchasing strategy. ·         Create demand forecasts and usage reports to support RFPs, supplier bids, and internal planning. ·         Assist in identifying alternatives for discontinued, OOS, or hard-to-source products.·         Support SOM (Suspicious Order Monitoring) activities in coordination with the Purchasing Support Specialist. ·         Prepare initial documentation for failure-to-supply claims, shelf stock adjustments, and indirect contract rebates. ·         Track and report on new generic drug launches·         Manage daily updates to product and NDC information, ensuring accurate entry into company systems.·         Collaborate with Accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies by providing necessary data.·         Load and review monthly indirect purchasing files to ensure completeness and accuracy.·         Maintain key tracking tools including the Master Item List, Procurement Tool, and Master TBC database.·         Generate and submit reports related to warehouse receiving and pharmacy purchasing activity. ·         Monitor inventory levels and provide insights to support stock optimization.·         Analyze product utilization data as needed.·         Support operational initiatives related to reporting, procurement strategy, and inventory management.·         Review and summarize reports and documentation; prepare briefing materials as required.·         Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners at various organizational levels.·         Serve as backup support for the Manager of Procurement, Purchasing Specialist, and Director of Procurement.·         Perform other duties as assigned to support the broader procurement functionNECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:·         High proficiency in Excel is required.·         Strong attention to detail.·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide meaningful, regular status communications at multiple levels of detail.·         Self‐starter, motivated, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; respectful of deadlines for self and others.·         Organizational and time management skills essential.·         Extensive computer skills (expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.·         A high level of discretion and confidentiality for both business and personal affairs.·         Ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision.·         Ability to adapt to new technology and be proficient in its operation.·         Elicit requirements: ability to learn quickly, engage deeply in new subject areas, and establish credibility with an eye toward drawing out complete and robust requirements from variety of stakeholders. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:Knowledge of Microsoft office, TWRx, and other applications a plus. 3-5 years’ experience in a support, or financial role in conjunction with the development or maintenance of relevant projects.
