By expanding access to affordable housing, we help make our communities more inclusive, sustainable, and supportive for all.Position Overview -The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) is a full-time role dedicated to supporting and empowering residents within our affordable housing communities. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging programs and services that promote resident well-being, housing stability, community engagement, and self-sufficiency.Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, the RSC partners with residents, local service providers, Property Management, and Community Corp staff to create meaningful educational, wellness, and community-building opportunities. This is an ideal role for someone who is compassionate, resourceful, community-oriented, and passionate about making a direct impact in people's lives.Compensation and Benefits -Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $28.00We offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical insuranceDental and vision insurance4 weeks of paid vacation403(b) retirement plan120 hours of sick timePaid holidaysMileage reimbursement9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off!)Essential Position Responsibilities -Welcome new residents and connect them with available community resources, programs, and servicesConduct resident surveys and identify areas of need within the communityProvide referrals and connect residents with local agencies and support servicesBuild and maintain relationships with community organizations and service providersStay informed on available community resources, public assistance programs, and best practicesCollaborate with Property Management to support resident retention and housing stabilityPromote educational, wellness, arts, and community engagement activitiesAdvocate for residents and serve as a liaison between residents, management, and community partnersEncourage resident self-advocacy, empowerment, and self-sufficiencyMaintain accurate and timely records of resident interactions and services providedAssist with tenant meetings, community organizing efforts, and social/recreational eventsCoordinate programming and activities within community rooms, including Community Corp.'s UP-Grade ProgramCreate and distribute outreach materials for upcoming events and activitiesPrepare community rooms and materials for presentations and workshopsMaintain regular onsite office hours and accessible communication with residentsSupport the Resident Services Manager and perform additional duties as assignedSkills -Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaborativelyCreative, proactive, and community-focusedReliable, organized, and adaptableCompassionate, non-judgmental, and approachable demeanorStrong judgment and decision-making abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build trust and maintain relationships with residents and community partnersComfortable working occasional evenings and weekends based on resident needsExperience working effectively with diverse populationsFlexible and responsive in a fast-paced environmentQualifications -Valid California driver's license and access to an insured vehicleAbility to increase resident engagement and participationWelcoming and professional communication style with diverse communitiesStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookBilingual English/Spanish preferredEducation and Experience -Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredMinimum of 1 year of experience coordinating services in affordable housing or working for a community service provider in a professional capacitySupervisory Responsibilities -May assist with volunteer coordination and oversightPhysical Requirements -Ability to lift up to 25 poundsWork Environment -Assigned to 2–4 Community Corp properties within the Santa Monica service areaPrimarily works onsite from offices located within property community roomsProvided with a laptop computer and mobile phone to support remote and field-based workTravel Requirements -Regular travel within the Community Corp. service area requiredOccasional travel outside the city for trainings and seminarsValid California driver's license, insurance, and acceptable driving record requiredOther Requirements -Background check and driving record review will be conducted.Background Check and Driving Record will be ConductedCommunity Corp. is an Equal Opportunity EmployerCompany DescriptionCommunity Corp. is a Santa Monica-based non-profit organization that restores, builds, and manages affordable housing for working families of modest means.
