We are responsible for removing ice and snow from tractor trailer tops! Our team helps keep the roads safer. Safety is always our #1 priority. We work when it snows (+ 2-5 days after a snow event). This position would be based at a nearby distribution center with an average of 100 trailers needing service per day. Selected candidates will work in teams of 3-4 employees during each scheduled shift. The team consists of four different positions; Facility Technician, Plow Truck Operators, Heavy Equipment Operators, and Supervisors. The team is responsible for: Documenting trailer/service information including taking photos Operating a scraper system (outside on a platform) Communicating with and guiding drivers as they come through the scraper system Operate a snowplow – for snow removal under and around the scraper system only (qualified technicians only) Operate a front wheel loader with Truc Brush attachment and remove ice and snow from the top of tractor trailers (qualified technicians only) Facility Technician Job Qualifications, Expectations and Responsibilities Physically fit to safely perform the job and lift at least 40 pounds Being reliable – exceptional attendance and punctuality is essential Valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation to get to the job site and the ability to park the vehicle on premises for your shift? Possess a positive and easy-going attitude even in challenging situations Effective communication with supervisors, co-workers, customers and other personnel Ability to work well in a team Strong attention to detail when performing job and completing necessary documentation Comfortable with and prepared for cold weather and snowy conditions while on the job Prioritize safety above all else Snowplow Operator Job Qualifications, Expectations and Responsibilities Ability to perform job qualifications, expectations and responsibilities of the facility technician (described above) along with: Must be at least 21 years or older (must be 21 to drive our fleet vehicles) Clean driving record verified by DMV Valid driver's license issued in the state you live At least 3 years’ experience operating snowplow Safely, effectively and efficiently operate snowplow equipment to remove snow and ice from around scraper systems Constantly monitor the condition of equipment and immediately communicate damage and/or maintenance needs to management Complete necessary equipment inspection checklists Wages and Incentives Starting wages for: $22.50/hr – Facility Technician $26.50/hr – Facility Technicians who can also plow snow (Plow Operator) Monthly bonus opportunities JMC participates in E-Verify.
