Partners with Relationship Managers to manage credit proposals and renewals; independently prioritizes requests, identifies risk and risk ratings, recommends and evaluates credit structure, and prepares proposals. Contributes to the development of profitable long-term credits.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimarily responsible for underwriting and servicing of commercial loan portfoliosProactively identifies credit weaknesses/trends and alerts management to deteriorationCollaborates with RM to prioritize new credit requests, renewals, and reviewsProvides risk ratings and recommends appropriate credit structureIdentifies policy exceptionsPrepares approval, commitment, proposal document, and participates in documentation process including the identification of covenants and other key provisionsParticipates in customer meetings to discuss alternative credit structures and to clarify any questions.
