Join a team that is helping shape the future of food while working for the world's first major carbon neutral food company.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing operation in a modern, landfill-free manufacturing facility.What You'll DoAs a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping our production equipment and facility clean, safe, and production-ready.Responsibilities Include:Disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling food processing equipmentFollowing all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and SOPsUsing approved sanitation chemicals safely and effectivelyReading and following production schedulesProperly documenting sanitation activities and department recordsRemoving ingredient and chemical barrels as neededAssisting with training and retraining team membersSupporting startup and commissioning activities for new equipment and production linesMaintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environmentWhat We OfferWe believe in investing in our team members and providing opportunities for growth.Benefits Include:Competitive hourly payTemperature-controlled work environment401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage available within the first 30 daysFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Company-paid life insuranceShort-term and long-term disability insurancePaid vacation and sick timeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee referral bonus programCareer growth and development opportunitiesWhat We're Looking ForPreferred Qualifications:At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturingIndustrial sanitation or equipment cleaning experience preferredKnowledge of sanitation chemicals and safe handling proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to food safetyPhysical & Schedule Requirements:Ability to lift up to 60 poundsAbility to climb, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in wet or humid conditionsFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, and evening/night shifts as neededAbility to learn or operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts or scissor liftsAbout Maple Leaf FoodsMaple Leaf Foods is a leading plant-based protein company with brands including Lightlife and Field Roast.
