Program Manager - Space Program
Overview
As Program Manager for the DSN M&O contract, you lead a high-stakes civil space communications program in the Peraton Monrovia facility, aligning technical, financial, and contractual objectives with NASA’s Deep Space Network mission. You drive cross-site execution, risk mitigation, and mission assurance across O&M, modernization, and transition efforts. You will partner with NASA JPL, manage budgets over $50M, and influence long-term program success. This role offers visible impact on critical space communications infrastructure and mission support.
ResponsibilitiesLead contract execution and primary customer interface with NASA/JPLOversee all program activities including O&M, modernization, transition, and mission assuranceDevelop and manage program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plansEnsure safety and mission assurance are prioritizedManage performance to meet cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectivesIdentify and mitigate program risks and opportunitiesEngage senior stakeholders to align with mission objectivesCoordinate across geographically dispersed teams
Key requirementsBachelor in Engineering, Science, or Math or related technical discipline16+ years of related experienceKnowledge of commercial space communications architecture and servicesExperience managing large projects ($50M+), including cost, schedule, performance, and risk8+ years interfacing with Government/Prime customers for status and issue resolutionExperience in talent selection, hiring, and performance managementExperience with modern IT such as cloud or virtual networksPMP certificationstrong written and verbal communicationteam leadership and collaborationadaptability in fast-paced environmentscommercial SATCOM systemssystems engineering (expert practitioner)experience with NASA standards/policies
