Retail Store Manager

A little bit about Pitaya… Our first store opened in 1990 in Bloomington, Indiana. We stock our racks with fresh merchandise every week, always offer great prices, and all Pitaya label clothes are sewn right here in the USA!!!Our Ann Arbor store is located at 315 South State Street, adjacent to the University of Michigan.Responsibilities of the Store Manager includes, but is not limited to:Creating a fun and upbeat environment for both customers and sales associates.Ensuring all staff are interacting with customers and providing an excellent shopping experience, leading by example.Interviewing, hiring, training all new staff as necessary.Preparing schedules and managing labor based on forecasted and actual sales.Visual Merchandising of all store displays.Receiving and processing weekly shipments of new merchandise.Managing inventory levels as communicated by upper management.Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the entire store, including general maintenance.Communicating current trends and inventory needs with the Buying team.Requirements:Have an outgoing personality and positive attitude.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Available to work a full-time, varying schedule, including any shift during business hours.Experience with all areas of managing a retail store.Apparel or Merchandising management a plus!Benefits Include:Generous employee discount.Flexible schedules.Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance enrollment after 30 days.Company matching 401(k) after appropriate waiting period.Paid Parking.
