Director of Distribution & Fulfillment Operations
We are seeking a Director of Distribution & Fulfillment Operations to build and lead our multi-channel logistics engine from the ground up. This role goes beyond managing day-to-day shipping — it’s about designing systems, digitizing workflows, and reimagining how our warehouse and fulfillment ops function to support rapid scale across direct-to-consumer (DTC), business-to-business (B2B), and wholesale channels. If you’ve led distribution in fast-moving industries (CPG, nutraceuticals, hemp, supplements, cannabis, or co-packing) and have the vision to develop physical warehouse workflows and digital ERP/WMS integrations from scratch, this is your chance to architect an operation that defines industry benchmarks.Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Channel DistributionOversee DTC fulfillment: pick/pack/ship operations with 2-day+ SLA.Manage B2B and wholesale distribution: palletized orders, EDI/ASN compliance, and freight logistics.Balance inventory allocation across channels to maximize margin and fulfill contractual obligations.Systems Development & IntegrationSelect, implement, and optimize ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Katana, NetSuite, Fishbowl, or custom).Integrate e-commerce platforms (WooCommerce, Shopify, etc.) with fulfillment, CRM, and 3PL systems.Build dashboards for real-time order tracking, inventory visibility, and labor productivity.Warehouse Operations & Labor OptimizationDesign and implement warehouse workflows that increase throughput, reduce errors, and maximize labor efficiency.Develop SOPs for pick/pack, staging, cross-docking, and wholesale prep.Apply Lean/6s principles to streamline processes and minimize waste.Compliance & TraceabilityEnsure adherence to FDA, cGMP, hemp, or cannabis distribution regulations.Implement lot/batch-level tracking and recall readiness across all fulfillment channels.Leadership & StrategyBuild and manage a team of fulfillment supervisors, inventory managers, and logistics coordinators.Negotiate contracts with carriers, 3PLs, and wholesale partners.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in distribution, technology adoption, and customer delivery experience.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field (MBApreferred).8+ years in distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain leadership — preferably in CPG, nutraceuticals, hemp, or supplements.Proven experience managing DTC, B2B, and wholesale fulfillment simultaneously.Deep expertise in ERP/WMS implementation and integrating with e-commerce platforms.Strong knowledge of freight logistics (LTL/FTL, parcel, 3PLs) and EDI compliance.Track record of building systems from scratch and scaling distribution for rapid growth.Skilled leader with excellent vendor negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills.Compensation & Benefits$130,000 + performance-based bonuses
