Application Developer

What is the position?The Application Developer will support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on replacing legacy pension administration technology with a custom, cloud-native platform. This role will build and enhance applications using technologies such as C#/.NET, Angular, REST APIs, SQL, and Azure while partnering with technical and business teams throughout the development lifecycle.What are the responsibilities?As an Application Developer, you will:Design, build, test, and maintain modern application components within an Azure-based environment.Develop REST APIs, system integrations, and automated workflows that connect key business applications.Convert functional and technical specifications into reliable, maintainable production code.Participate in code reviews, source control, pull requests, unit testing, and technical documentation.Work with analysts, testers, developers, and project managers to refine user stories and deliver solutions on schedule.Help transition critical functionality away from legacy systems while improving scalability, security, and operational efficiency.What are the requirements?Hands-on experience with C#/.NET, Web API, Angular 16+, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Git.3-5 years of relevant application development experience preferred, with a Computer Science or MIS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Understanding of modern development frameworks, secure coding practices, and Agile/SDLC methodologies.Experience with application development activities including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and pull requests.Ability to create APIs, integrations, and workflow automation while producing high-quality software with minimal defects.Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple development priorities.You would be really happy here if:You stay focused when the stakes are high and can consistently carry important projects through to successful completion.Complex technical challenges energize you, and you are skilled at evaluating obstacles and developing practical solutions.JoCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
