This commitment begins the instant a prospective colleague connects with us and extends throughout their entire journey with the hotel.Job DescriptionThe seasonal restaurant host must be available to work from April through the end of September or October.The Restaurant Host is responsible for managing guest reception and seating arrangements, ensuring optimal dining room operations, and maintaining a professional atmosphere.Greet and welcome guests in a professional manner upon arrivalObtain and record essential dining information from guests, including dietary requirements and special occasionsStrategically manage dining room seating arrangements, anticipating business fluctuations to maximize efficiencyImplement organized seating protocols to maintain optimal service flow for serversConduct regular, thorough inspections of restaurant areas, promptly reporting any equipment deficiencies or aesthetic issues through appropriate channelsMaintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulationsActively participate in and promote adherence to health and safety initiativesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitalityPrevious experience in a luxury establishment preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in restaurant reservation systemsSelf-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisionsDemonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to deliver exceptional service levels under pressureAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentFlexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesBasic math skills for managing wait times and table assignmentsPhysically fit to stand and walk for the duration of the shiftFamiliarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems a plusAdditional Information
