Accounting & ERP Manager
We've been distributing and manufacturing high-quality water filtration systems since 1977, serving the Western United States. And we're building the team that takes us through the next chapter. This is a small company where your work is visible, your ideas get heard, and what you do actually matters. The RoleThis position sits at the center of how the business operates. You will be the operational backbone of the company — the person who keeps the systems accurate, the processes moving, and the numbers clean. You will own our ERP system (Prophet21), support our financial operations, and help us build smarter workflows across order management, purchasing, and reporting. You will work directly with top management. This is a genuine opportunity to help reshape how a 47-year-old company runs, with the autonomy to do it right. What You'll OwnERP & Business SystemsYou'll be the internal expert on Prophet21, how it works, how it should work, and how to close the gap. Order flow, inventory, pricing, purchasing, customer and vendor records, sales order customization. When something breaks or doesn't make sense, you figure it out. You'll help manage the ERP connection to our website and evaluate where modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, can make us more efficient.Accounting OperationsYou don't need to be a CPA. You need to understand how the numbers flow and care that they're right. Bank reconciliation, AP/AR support, inventory adjustments, vendor payments, and month-end preparation. You should think analytically and be curious about why and how we can improve, not just accomplish tasks. You'll work alongside a fractional controller who handles oversight, and you're the one who makes sure the data they're looking at is accurate and clean.Process & Office OperationsYou'll build and improve the SOPs that don't exist yet, fix the ones that don't work, and help a small team run more smoothly. You'll also handle day-to-day HR basics for a tight-knit office team.Who You AreYou probably have a background in accounting, business operations, or finance, but you've always been more comfortable than most with systems. You've owned an ERP or been the person everyone calls when it needs fixing. You understand why the month-end numbers don't add up and how the system produced them. You're curious, self-directed, and genuinely interested in making things work better. What we are looking for:• 6–12 years of experience in business operations, finance, or accounting, ideally at a distribution, wholesale, or product-based company• Genuine hands-on experience owning an ERP system, not just using one• Enough financial fluency to support month-end close and keep the numbers clean• Comfortable in a small company where you wear multiple hats and do not wait to be told what to do• Someone who looks at a broken workflow and cannot help but fix it• Advanced ERP experience. P21 is what we run, but we know most people haven't. What we care about is depth, not the specific system. If you've gone deep with SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or a comparable distribution or manufacturing ERP, owned the modules, fixed the breaks, understood why things break then you'll learn P21. What we can't train is the instinct for how these systems actually work underneath. If your ERP experience is mostly running reports and opening tickets, this probably isn't the right fit. What This Is NotA maintenance role. A report-running role. If you want to be handed a process and follow it indefinitely, this isn't the right fit. We want someone who looks at how we do things and can't help but improve them.Details$87,500 - $117,500, depending on experience | Health, dental, vision | 401(k) with company match | Paid time off | Full-time, on-site, Carson CATo apply: tell us briefly about an ERP or business system you've owned and one thing you changed about how it was used.
