Travel LPN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN for a Med/Surg Tele unit requiring BLS, an Ohio LPN license, and at least 1 year of acute care experience, with night shift availability on a 13-week contract.Job Details• Med/Surg Tele unit (1 North) in a 30-bed setting serving orthopedic, bariatric, and general medical-surgical patients,• Patient care includes management of up to 6L nasal cannula, intermittent BiPAP, heparin drips, IVs, ports, and PICC lines, as well as remote telemetry monitoring,• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:10 under a team nursing model (1 RN and 1 LPN per team), supported by 2 techs per shift and a HUC on days,• Scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, every third weekend, and every other holiday,• Navy blue scrubs required,• 13-week contract,• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate,Job Requirements• Current Ohio LPN license required (license required if applicable),• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience in an acute care setting,• Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required,• Must pass a facility EKG exam (non-medication portion) - study guides are provided and two attempts are allowed,• Proof of address required for consideration (acceptable documents include a driver's license, voter registration card, federal tax return, Military Form DD-2058, or W-2 from the US government),• Full SSN and date of birth (MM/DD) required for consideration,• One supervisory reference required for consideration,• Nursys license verification required for consideration,Additional Information• Responsibilities include skilled nursing care, medication administration, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy, patient data collection, and contributing to individualized care plans under RN supervision,• Participates in the full nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team,• EKG exam is administered on the first day of the assignment; two attempts to pass are permitted and study guides will be provided,• Epic EHR experience is preferred,• Orthopedic, bariatric, and medical-surgical patient experience is preferred,
