Structural Analysis Engineer
MUST BE A US CITIZEN (ITAR REQUIREMENT). Support a Fortune 500 Aero-Defense Company as a Structural Analysis Engineer. Essential functions: • Performing structural analysis in FEMAP/NASTRAN of metallic and composite structures. • Static and dynamic analysis in support of Major/Minor and simple to complex Tooling fixtures and structures Core Competencies • Analysis of simple to complex problems via hand calculations and FEM, respectively. • Experience with stress analysis techniques, concepts and practices • Computer Aided Design Tools - Basic knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (CATIA/NX). Able to manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files). • Engineering Drawings & Specs - Basic ability to create, read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications in accordance with ASME 14.5. Basic level understanding of GD&T Basic Qualifications: • Experience with industry standard aerospace to conceptualizing designs using 3D modeling tools including NX & CATIA • Creating drawings for fabrication via CAD, with properly laid out views and dimensions that are in compliance with ASME Y14.1-5 standards for fabrication. • Bachelor’s (STEM) Degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s (STEM) Degree with 3 years of experience in medium to large scale tooling fabrication and/or production fabrication including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing operations.
