The Associate Attorney will be responsible for all aspects of the workers' compensation case, including evaluating the merits of the case, providing guidance and counsel to the clients through effective communication, medical review, and negotiating, settling and litigating cases, if necessary. Essential Job Functions Manages a full caseload of workers' compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity Creates litigation plans Creates budget plans, if necessary Conducts discovery Travels to court and other appearances Tries cases while maintaining exceptional client interaction Composes motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents Prepares cases for trial Communicates with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties to effectively represent clients Strong negotiation and communication skills Should have at least 5 years experience in the defense of workers' compensation cases We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life, STD and LTD insurance and 401(k). Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time up to four (4) hours; Must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
