Warehouse Attendant

What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a detail-oriented and self-directed individual with the ability to think critically, work independently, and maintain an organized approach to supporting safe and efficient warehouse operations.What You Will DoØ Unloading delivery trucks, checking and storing incoming parts and materials, processing receipt information into the Lawsoncomputer system.Ø Monitor delivery of bulk fuels.Ø Drive to vendors to pick up needed suppliesØ Promptly and courteously assist counter customers by issuing parts and materials and or helping users (employees and contractors)locate and remove parts and materialØ Files open purchase orders in 'open PO files'Ø Files closed purchase orders in 'closed PO files'Ø Assist in transferring materials to the job site, when directed or neededØ Check oil levels in dumper tanks, notify purchasing/warehouse supervisor when at or below 1/4 fullØ Perform or assist in performing complete physical count of inventoryØ Organize and maintain orderliness of inventoriesØ Make spot checks of physical inventoryØ Perform operator inspections of fork lift dailyØ Assist in clean-up and disposal of accumulated 'used materials'Ø Tag and maintain correct up to date tags on inventory shelvesØ Package and label material required to be sent out by Pier IXØ Pickup and delivery of materials and supplies when directed to do soØ Call & order normally stocked items if needed to fill an immediate or emergency need. (Normally stocked items are those which do not result in or require competitive pricing.)Ø Perform general warehouse facility housekeeping duties, which includes duties such as cleaning & dusting shelves, sweeping floors,empty trash containers, and other housekeeping dutiesØ Train other employees, when needed, how to operate a fork truck. This is an occasional duty.Ø Other duties as assignedWhat You NeedEducationØ High School diploma or equivalentSkillsØ Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
