A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRegistered Nurse - PCU/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 3x12 hour shifts with self-scheduling/n• Patient ratios vary by acuity: Medical surgical patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4/n• 36 hours of orientation provided/n• Float as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals/n• Weekend coverage required, must work 2 out of 3 major holidays/n• One pre-approved time off period allowed/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS/n• Must have Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start/n• Minimum 1 year of experience required/n• Must have solid neuro experience/n• Will accept MS/Tele or PCU RNs/n• Dress code: Red scrub top with black bottoms/n• Use Cerner charting system/n• Free parking available/n• Care for mixed acuity unit including medical patients and progressive care patients/n• Manage cardizem, amio, and insulin drips/n• Work with unstable stroke patients and BiPAP/n• Handle oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients/n• Daily census of 29-31 patients across 31 rooms and 31 beds/n• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations/n• Work with interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams/n/nFacility:/nThis short-term acute care hospital features 194 total staffed beds and operates a dynamic mixed acuity progressive care unit. The facility specializes in comprehensive medical care including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary services.
