We study every mechanical system we install and support, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction.The Operations Director is a vital part of the U.S. Engineering Innovations team and is responsible for overseeing the profitability and overall success of assigned project teams. Additionally, the Operations Director holds broader leadership responsibility for the overall success of the company, championing culture, executing the strategic plan, developing talent, leading positive change, and continuously contributing to quality improvement.Principal Duties and Accountabilities:Manage the assigned site team(s) covering recruitment, performance management, development, and HR administration.Build and foster relationships with project owners, clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.Overall profit management of assigned projects.Monitor KPIs throughout each project, execute course corrections, and lead recovery plans as needed.Ensure project goals (profitability, manufacturing target %, cash flow, customer satisfaction) are set at project start.Develop and execute on-site plans with off‐side manufacturing and development teams.Assist with yearly budget, quarterly updates, and business plan formulation; adjust staffing to meet revenue goals.Manage procurement stages: contract review, scope/spec review, constructability, labor impact, manufacturing strategy, risk analysis, and interview prep.Ensure compliance with pre‐planning, risk mitigation, estimating, manufacturing, cash, buy‐out, schedules, productivity, audits, and debriefs.Evaluate manufacturing execution methods for efficiency, cost impacts, technology, quality control, and assurance.Approve profit forecasts and provide monthly WIP information to the Operations VP.Oversee all contracts, sub‐contracts, change orders, and lien releases.Ensure full safety program compliance and collaborate with Safety Director for continuous improvement.Identify opportunities for future projects internally and externally.Document project historical data and lessons learned to improve company productivity.Collaborate on community or philanthropic activities with peers.Education:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science Management, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management preferred.Equivalent combination of field and leadership experience will be considered.Experience:Extensive construction industry experience – minimum of 15 years.Prior senior-level manager overseeing projects, schedules, budgets, and teams.Experience as a member of a senior leadership and/or strategic planning team.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent leadership and communication; proven collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.Strong presentation and public speaking; ability to persuade diverse audiences.Extensive knowledge of mechanical construction industry practices, processes, and standards.Ability to build high‐performance project teams through innovative management techniques.Strong time management, organization, and adaptability.Research and procurement expertise for winning proposals.Customer‐focused and dedicated to delivering results.Frequent travel to all job sites.Strategic thinker with ability to lead change.Benefits and Compensation:Salary range: $153,120–$216,282, based on experience, education, and other factors.Year‐end bonus based on company and/or individual performance; paid time off.Industry‐leading benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement matching, and 529 matching.This position will be posted until January 2, 2026.
