Clearance Requirement: Active TS-SCI and CI Poly Position Overview: InSequence is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared Systems Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support an Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting web development project in St. Louis, MO. This role contributes to mission-critical operational capabilities by providing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) for web-based imagery exploitation systems across DoD environments. You will design, implement, and maintain automation that provisions and configure infrastructure and applications across multiple networks hosted on both AWS and On-Premises. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure as Code Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to provision, configure, and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, configuration management, and compliance testing to ensure consistent, repeatable system deployments. Implement automated compliance validation and remediation workflows that enforce security baselines and operational standards. Site Reliability Engineering Provide technical leadership in the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex hardware and software systems supporting mission-critical applications. Ensure the reliability, scalability, performance, and availability of production environments through proactive monitoring, automation, and operational excellence. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues while driving root cause analysis and continuous service improvements. Scripting & Tooling Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Bash, and Ruby to streamline deployment, operations, system administration, and compliance activities. Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through automation and infrastructure engineering best practices. AWS Infrastructure Support Deploy, administer, and optimize AWS infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and supporting cloud services. Support hybrid environments that integrate AWS-hosted systems with on-premises environments as required. Monitor cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, cost efficiency, and operational resilience. Security & Compliance Administer Linux and Windows Server environments while implementing and maintaining DISA STIG security baselines. Support system accreditation and compliance efforts in accordance with DoD, NGA, and other applicable cybersecurity requirements. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain secure operating environments. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Industrial Design (or equivalent relevant experience, if allowed by contract). 5+ years of professional experience in a systems engineering / infrastructure engineering role. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+). Experience with Windows Server administration. Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Ruby, and Bash. AWS experience (Storage, Compute, Networking). Effective communication skills; ability to collaborate with customers and peers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). ADA Notations: Regular communication. Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy. Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding). Salary Range: The final salary can be influenced by a variety of factors, such as Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, educational background, and certifications.
