Job Posting: Journeyman ElectricianOverviewSeeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install new electrical systems, repair existing systems, and ensure all work complies with applicable national, state, and local electrical codes. This role supports electrical activities across commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects. This is a safety-sensitive position.ResponsibilitiesInstall, repair, maintain, and test electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.Use industry-standard hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire, conduit, and various raceway systems.Pull, feed, and terminate wire and cable into control centers, switchgear, distribution boxes, transformers, receptacles, and other equipment.Splice and terminate wires at junction points.Troubleshoot electrical equipment, control circuits, and build control panels using drawings or schematics.Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams to document electrical layouts.Delegate tasks and assist with training less-experienced team members.Communicate effectively with foremen and crew to maintain productivity and workflow.Maintain project schedules and meet productivity goals.Interact with colleagues, customers, and vendors with professionalism and courtesy.Follow all safety policies and procedures.QualificationsCurrent Journeyman Wireman license (if required by jurisdiction).Ability to install power systems including lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks.Skilled in building and installing control panels and performing system maintenance.Experience reading and interpreting electrical single-line blueprints.Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults.Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations.Experience assisting in project and crew management.Ability to estimate material needs.Strong leadership and pre-planning skills.Physical DemandsLift and pull up to 50 lbs.Climb ladders, pull wire, and bend conduit.Fully squat, stoop, or kneel while wearing a 25-lb tool belt.Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.Work from ladders, man lifts, and reach booms.Working Environment* Exposure to a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.* Work in environments with high noise levels.
