Senior CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) Pixel Design Engineer

Overview:Himax Technologies is searching for an experienced Pixel Design Engineer to join our Advanced R&D team in Irvine, California. We would like to hear from you.This is an in-person position at our Irvine office.Responsibilities:This role will participate in new pixel designs and improvements of existing pixels by working closely with other design teams. This position is responsible primarily for pixel layouts including front-end, back-end and optical structure.> Skillful and creative on optimizing pixel layout based on:Process flow informationLayout design rulesPixel timing constraints and noise analysisSignal interferences analysis inferred by Capacitance extractions> Pixel array composition, including:Implementing the floorplan of a pixel arrayDRC and LVS verifications on whole pixel arrayThe layouts of dark pixel reference and other special pixelsInterfaces with readout and pixel driver circuitsOptical structure extensions beyond the active array boundaries> Optical Design:Optimize optical structure layout shifts to accommodate image height dependent module lens CRAsRequirements:Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Master's degree with 3+ years of hands-on experience with CIS pixel layoutMasterful on IC layout related EDA tools and layout parasitic capacitance extraction EDA toolsKnowledgeable about typical physics, basic timing and operation principles of CIS pixelMedium level programming skills.Preferred Experience:Background is Electrical Engineering, Physics or Photonics.Familiar with CMOS image sensor process integration, device physics and optics are good pluses.Salary Range$110,000- $140,000 (DOE)The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.Location: Irvine, CA (on-site)
