Mechanical AssemblerA large manufacturer of modular cooling systems for data centers is hiring for Mechanical Assemblers. Reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. Using drills, impacts, grinders, wrenches, and pliers. Using a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to products prior to shipping. Testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. Could be moving material with pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes. Requirements: 5+ years mechanical assembly Blueprint & schematic reading Use of hand tools and power tools Can use a forklift and scissor lift Preferred skills but not required: 10+ years mechanical assembly exp Assembly of modular units Skid assembly Attention to detail Shift: Day Shift, Mon-Fri - possible Saturdays as the work picks up Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pearland, TX.
