Controller

Controller Position NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a business services organization to identify a Controller in Carrollton, TX. This role is onsite and will support accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP initiatives. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who can manage a team, strengthen processes, and partner with leadership on financial strategy and operational improvement. Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 8+ years of progressive accounting experience 2+ years of accounting leadership or team management experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, tax, and internal controls Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage deadlines across multiple priorities Preferred: CPA designation ERP implementation or finance systems leadership experience Experience supporting M&A integration from a finance perspective Background managing audits, month-end close, and year-end close Experience with industry-specific ERP platforms This is a strong opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and leading a high-performing accounting function.
