Plant Operations Manager

Operations Manager Our client is a Tier 1 supplier and growing company who is looking to add an experienced and professional Operations Manager to their team. The Operations Manager will have 7+ years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment.Operations Manager Responsibilities:Maintain an attitude of extreme ownership over all plant operations, safety and performanceDrive for no injuries through communication, training and leadership by exampleDevelop, establish, and administer short- and long-term manufacturing and operating plans to meet established goals and objectivesEnsure adherence to established manufacturing plans and policiesParticipate with the development and administration of plans for Maintenance, Plant Engineering and EnvironmentalEnsure adherence to established plans and policiesCoordinate and expedite manufacturing operations including such matters as production scheduling, engineering, procurement, production operations, tooling and maintenance.Employ proper motivating techniques and delegate appropriate authority to department managers to accomplish goals and objectivesMaintain supervision over production operations, coordinating with Maintenance, Plant Engineering and EnvironmentalMaintain conformance with budget, and proper utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilitiesCounsel, coach and develop supervisors and nonexempt associatesEnsure that all departments follow established guidelines for safety, production, quality, and environmental qualityOptimize production schedules and meet quality and cost standardsMaximize production efficiency and continuously seek to reduce the cost of operations by developing new, and refining current, processes and utilizing the work force more efficientlyOversee and direct the preparation of operating budgets for plant departmentsAdminister budgets and monitor budget compliance during the business year, taking appropriate corrective action in the event of a budget varianceOversee and coordinate various programs and functions which are essential to the manufacturing process, such as safety, training, housekeeping, wage and salary administration, and plant protection and securityMaintain an adequate work force to fulfill production requirementsParticipate in the interview process for management positions as necessaryLead and pursue strategies to enhance associate morale and maintain union-free environment and to maximize production efficiencyOversee efforts which ensure conformance with Company work rules and regulationsOversee efforts which encourage the use of safety equipment and devices while encouraging proper housekeeping to produce a safe work environmentCoach associates to eliminate hazardous conditions and work practicesMaintain awareness of improved operational methods, production processes, or equipment which improve quality and productivity and reduce wasteOversee installation or modification of equipment via Plant Engineering and Maintenance responsibilitiesOperations Manager Job Requirements:Proficiency in ExcelExcellent root cause/corrective action and problem-solving skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s in business administration or engineering or equivalentSeven to ten years' experienceWHO WE ARE?
