Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Material HandlerOur 2nd shift Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently putting away finished goods and bulk materials into designated warehouse locations. This role supports daily distribution operations, ensures accurate order fulfillment, and maintains a clean and organized warehouse environment.Key Responsibilities:Work with the Distribution Supervisor to understand and execute daily shift prioritiesSafely put away finished goods and bulk materials into assigned warehouse locationsRack inbound freight from outside vendors and in-house manufactured productsAssist in other warehouse functions as needed (order picking, cleaning, rework, etc.)Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) and other warehouse equipment safelyOrganize and stack materials onto skids in a safe and efficient mannerWrap and secure finished goods to ensure orders can withstand transportationComplete customer orders accurately and efficientlyAssist with finished goods inventory counts and auditsPerform routine aisle audits independentlyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentFollow all safety policies and responsible equipment operation practicesAsk questions and seek guidance when unsure of processes or requirementsSuccessfully complete required DOT trainingPerform other duties as assignedSchedule & Work Expectations:Minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week2nd shift hours are M-F, 3:00pm - 11:00pmFlexibility required; overtime, weekends, and holidays may be needed based on distribution demandsQualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferredMinimum of 2 years of shipping or warehouse experience requiredHazardous materials experience for air/ocean freight is preferredProven experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT)Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Ability to read, write, and communicate in EnglishComfortable using computers and warehouse systemsStrong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamworkPay rate is $20 - $25 an hour based on experience and job history.ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
