Reporting To: Manager Sr., Elect Engineering
Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY
Moog Commercial Aircraft Group is looking for an MFG / Process Engineer. This position is located at our Commercial Facility in East Aurora, NY. As a member of the Electronics Engineering team, you will have direct engineering responsibility for a variety of production programs and may have full design responsibility for the product. Your work assignments require originality and decisive action, with guidance from supervisory personnel, project, senior product, or product engineers.
You will support production mechanical and/or process problems. Electronics manufacturing expertise is preferred, but anyone with applicable experience willing to work in a high‑paced production environment will be considered. Your activities have a significant impact on production, and you are responsible for communicating events that affect quality, schedule, or cost and for coordinating solutions that minimize production impact.
Responsibilities Provide production assembly/test instructions, training, and monitoring to maintain production.
Evaluate, request, and implement equipment to meet production requirements.
Assure and maintain design integrity, producibility and quality in production products.
Provide process engineering support to other Moog departments to maintain and improve quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
Provide information regarding status of technical, quality, schedule, or cost impacts to all affected operating groups.
Coordinate with Moog Program Management, Sales, and Purchasing to provide technical communications to customers and suppliers.
Organize, coordinate, and expedite Moog materiel and personnel resources for analysis and solution of production problems.
Prepare and conduct technical and training presentations for Moog management, employees, customers, and suppliers.
Travel domestically and internationally to work with contract manufacturers.
Track key company metrics including first pass yield (FPY) and product cost objectives (PCAS) to maintain and improve company performance and goals.
Perform Material Review Board (MRB) analyses (“use as is”, scrap, repair) and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Participate on the Corrective Action Board (CAB) as required.
Qualifications BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of technology.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
General knowledge in Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, Project Planning, Product line transfer, and Data Acquisition and Analysis.
Experience with circuit card design/repair in areas such as PCB, CCA, plated-through, multi-layer boards, flexible boards, and cable assemblies.
Knowledge of Electronics Workmanship Standards (IPC, J-STD-001) is preferred but not mandatory.
Desired ability to learn and work in a high‑paced production environment.
This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary Buffalo, NY: $75,000.00–$105,000.00 annually. The base salary range is one component of the total compensation package, which may also include annual bonuses, stock purchase plans, and other region‑specific benefits.
