Job Description###Locums | Gastroenterology | Call Only | Bay City, MI (IMLC accepted)###Why This Role Ongoing 24-hour call coverage need through 2026 with predictable weekday-only schedule No weekend call Hospitalist support in place with established surgical backup GI clinic located less than 0.5 miles from the hospital Long-term consistency with multiple available coverage blocks###Assignment Details Coverage Type: Call Only Practice Setting: Inpatient Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 7:00a–7:00a (24-hour call) Friday: 7:00a–7:00p (12-hour call) No weekend call On Call: Monday–Thursday nights 24-hour call includes 8 hours gratis in-house/night call Friday includes 4 hours patient contact ERCP: Required Support: Hospitalist support available Colorectal surgical support in community###Available Dates March 30, 2026 – April 3, 2026 July 27, 2026 – July 31, 2026 September 28, 2026 – October 2, 2026 December 28, 2026 – January 1, 2027###Requirements Board Certified Gastroenterology physician Active Michigan license IMLC accepted ERCP required DEA required by start No malpractice history Able to comply with reverse billing timekeeping (clock in/out system) Local providers preferred (no flight coverage)###Clinical Details Inpatient GI consults and procedures Trauma Level: Not specified No weekend responsibilities Small-town setting with regional amenities Orientation provided (paid at reduced rate)###Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided* Travel: Reimbursed within client travel policy limits
