Firm Overview CFOx is an advisory firm that specializes in CFO, Transaction, and Accounting Services for the middle-market. We work with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, founder-owned businesses, investment banks, and investors nationwide. Position Overview Our CFO & Accounting Services group primarily serves private equity-backed companies and founder-owned businesses that need CFO & Accounting services to scale post-acquisition, gain visibility into their business, or/and prepare for a transaction. CFOx is looking for a Vice President to work closely with the Director to provide strategic financial insights, drive operational improvements, and support growth initiatives of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of private equity environments, strong financial acumen, and exceptional leadership skills. Typical engagements include: Fractional or Interim CFO Post M&A transaction integrations and transitions Historical accounting clean-up Accounting processes, procedures, and systems implementation Financial planning & analysis (FP&A) Accounting services (i.e.: month-end close, financial statement preparation) Location & Work Arrangements This position can be located in any of our three offices. Role Responsibilities Lead and oversee CFO Advisory and Transaction Services engagements, ensuring high-quality execution, strong client relationships, and timely delivery of impactful outcomes Prepare high-quality client deliverables, analyses, and reports that translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights Assist in the design, enhancement, documentation, and implementation of internal processes, procedures, tools, and templates across service lines to improve scalability and consistency Engage in team operations and strategy discussions, contributing ideas and insights to support the group and organization’s growth Coach and mentor team members across levels, providing feedback, developing future leaders, and reinforcing the firm’s performance and culture expectations Qualifications 4-8 years of public accounting or/and corporate finance experience 1-3 years of leadership experience Knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting systems and accounting processes such as inventory, accrual estimates, revenue recognition, fixed assets, and interim/year-end close Ideal candidates will have at least one of the following: CPA, CFA, MBA, or relevant Masters Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, when applicable Compensation Base compensation: $125,000/yr to $150,000/yr Bonus: Target 10-20% Commission: Sales Commission Eligible Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental Retirement: 401k Match
