Give us a call opt 1 Job Details: Shift: 12H Nights Total Weekly Hours: 36 Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, NIHSS Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes: Experience and Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience required in an ER of equivalent size. - Previous Charge Experience: Not specified. - Charting system experience preferred, specifically with Cerner. - Community Hospital Experience: Not specified. - LTAC Experience: Not specified. - Trauma Level I and II Experience: Not specified. - Travel Experience Required: Not specified. Certifications: - ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required. Must be willing to obtain if offered. - NRP*, NIHSS certification also required. Skills: - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. - Central line care/management. - Emergency medications management. - IV vasopressors administration. - Procedural sedation administration/monitoring. - Management of CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident). - Splints management/application. - Management of burns, epiglottitis, near drowning, poison ingestion, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, spinal cord injury, psychiatric hold. - General Emergency Department experience combining adult and pediatric care. - Obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG, blood product administration, starting and maintaining IVs. - Management of conditions like abdominal pain, asthma, head injury, hyperglycemia, neglect or abuse identification/report, infection, mental/behavioral health conditions, respiratory infection, seizures, urinary tract infection, acute psychosis, drug overdose, managing violent behavior, suicidal patients. - Chest tube insertion/management. - BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance. - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs). - Intubation and care of ventilated patients. - Management of gunshot wounds and traumatic amputation. - Isolation precautions/PPE. - Triage skills. Licenses and Other Requirements: - Pending license accepted with submission, but must be active before start. - Local radius: 50 miles, local rule not accepted. - An on-site drug screen will be conducted for specific substances; failure will result in cancellation of assignment. Patient Care: - Experience with patient age groups: neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics. - Daily Census: 200, with 42 beds available. Additional Information: - COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required with exemptions allowed. - RTO required with submission and expectation to work some holidays.
