Controller

Headfarmer is looking for an experienced Controller on a project/interim basis to support our client during a high-growth phase! This is an exciting engagement opportunity as you'll be involved with a variety tasks, such as streamlining initiatives, monthly close functions, complex reconciliations and accounting research. You must have your bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 7+ years of experience, including having been at the Controller level. Experience in the hospitality industry is a huge plus, but not required.This position is fully in office 5 days/week, and the engagement will last anywhere between 3-6 months.Pay is up to $75 per hour and candidates must be available to interview and start right away.Your primary job functions will include:Owning monthly close processes at a hands-on, transactional levelPreparing and posting journal entries and performing complex reconciliationsPreparing and reviewing financial statements and various Ad Hoc reportsAssisting with budgeting and forecasting functions alongside FP&A teamLeading internal and external audit requestsSpearheading process improvement and cleanup initiatives, including post ERP implementation supportProviding training and mentorship to accounting staffEducation, qualifications and skills required:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field7+ years of corporate accounting experience, including at the Controllership levelExceptional reconciliations and technical accounting research experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with ERP accounting systems and proficient Excel skillsAbility to roll up your sleeves and help at the operational level
