Equipment Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex equipment malfunctions, collaborating with equipment vendors, process engineers, and technicians to implement repairs.Equipment Installation: Manage the installation, qualification, and startup of new equipment, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.Process Optimization: Work with process engineering teams to optimize equipment performance for yield, throughput, and process stability.Equipment Calibration: Regularly calibrate and monitor equipment performance to ensure they operate within defined specifications.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance schedules.Equipment Upgrades: Recommend and implement equipment upgrades to improve performance, reliability, or capability, working with suppliers and internal teams.Training: Train and mentor technicians and other personnel on proper equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.Safety Compliance: Ensure all equipment meets safety, environmental, and operational standards, complying with industry regulations and internal policies.Vendor Relations: Work with equipment suppliers to obtain technical support, parts, and training. Manage vendor contracts and service agreements.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and equipment reliability enhancements by analyzing equipment performance data and working on improvement projects.SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Hands-on experience with troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues on semiconductor tools.Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and equipment monitoring systems.Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
