Thermal Test Engineer

Who You’ll Work With:You will join a small group of mechanical engineers as your primary team but will collaborate with cross-functional teams including the hardware,software, RF, product marketing and manufacturing.What You’ll Do:As a thermal test engineer in the IoT group, you will be responsible for thermally testing IoT product hardware including switches, routers, and wireless products. You will be expected to:Generate detailed test plans for all testing.Interface with cross functional teams to determine critical components to monitor, system set-up requirements and operating environmental requirements.Prepare system for thermal testing including thermocouple attach, system configuration set-up, Diag and IOS set-up for traffic generation, thermal chamber set- up, etc.Interface with all cross-functional groups to troubleshoot set-up issues. Communicate test results to all applicable groups and provide support with any thermal issues.Who You Are:Experience with system level thermal testing.Experience with script writing for thermal test set-up.Experience with set-up and configuration of traffic generation at system level prior to thermal test execution.Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, RF and software engineering.Able to analyze thermal test data, write a comprehensive thermal test report and identify root cause of any thermal issues and provide improvement recommendations.Excellent communication skills.BS/MS in ME, EE or CS.
