Qualifications
· X-ray certification
· CPR certificate
· Infection control certification
· Dental-Assisting National Board license
· SOA (Specialized Orthodontic Assistant) or COA (Certified Orthodontic Assistant)
Job Description
Responsible for assisting the orthodontist in the delivery of patient care and support duties.
Areas of responsibility include:
· Clinical Assisting
· Delivery of Patient Care
· Taking and Processing X-rays and Photos
· Taking and Processing Intraoral Scans
· Maintaining Digital Workflow
· Treatment Documentation
· Sterilization Procedures
· Patient Education and Motivation
· Practice Promotion
· Laboratory Duties
· Utilize digital checklists for self-management of task completion (daily, weekly, monthly)
· Miscellaneous Duties

Schedule
· 8-hour shift – 7:20 am – 4:40 pm with a 1 hour lunch
Skill/Abilities:
Clinical: Proficiency in all clinical skills.
Interpersonal: Good interpersonal skills to maintain smooth running team environment throughout the office.
Verbal Skills: Effective verbal skills to communicate to Doctor, referring dentists, parents and patients.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in electronic treatment card, Microsoft Work and Excel. Computer entry.
Patient tracking. Imaging. Graphics.
Problem Solving: Effective conflict resolution, problem identification, problem resolution, and decision-making skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
Experience:
Dental assisting: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
