Power BI Architect

Job Title: Power BI ArchitectLocation: Irvine, CA- onsiteFulltime EmploymentOnly Independent Visa holderMust Have Technical/Functional SkillsDesign BI platforms, data models, and reporting layers that fit the business needs.Create systems to store, process, and analyze the organization's data.Build BI solutions that support both current and future data needs.Develop both logical and physical data warehouse designs, including schemas and partitions.Build dimensional models using star and snowflake schema techniques.Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, including CDC and data flow processes.Work closely with data engineers to ensure ETL processes align with the BI architecture.Define standards for KPIs, metrics, naming, and dashboard design.Maintain metadata, documentation, and data lineage to ensure accuracy and proper governance.Implement data security and role-based access controls within BI systems.Create reporting specifications and support tools like SSRS, Business Objects, and Power BI.Enable self-service analytics by providing governed datasets and semantic layers.Standardize dashboards and reporting formats across business teams.Improve BI performance across queries, ETL jobs, and system configurations.Review BI environments (DEV, QA, PROD) and recommend improvements.Guide and mentor BI developers and junior team members on best practices.Provide technical support to BI and analytics teams when needed.Work with business stakeholders to turn requirements into BI solutions.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment throughout the project.
