Instructional Aide 2025-2026 E2 Summer ProgramGilbert Linkous Elementary SchoolBlacksburg, VAMontgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for a Summer E2 Instructional Aide position that is available at Gilbert Linkous Elementary School in Blacksburg, VA.JOB DESCRIPTION:The Summer E2 Instructional Aide assists the E2 program coordinator by working with elementary aged students on educational and enrichment activities. The aide works a flexible schedule in the summer months.The hours of our summer program are from 8:00 am - 5:00 PM.The summer program runs for 8 weeks on Monday through Friday from June 1 - July 24.The position allows the aide to work up to 29 hours per week.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strengthAbility to cooperate with other staff membersAbility to adapt to changes in the work environmentDependability and punctuality requiredAbility to maintain an unquestionable degree of confidentialityAbility to respond to emergencies in support of students and school operationsHave the physical ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects (20+ lbs.) as neededAbility to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsPossess effective verbal and written communication skillsPossess the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parentsAbility to be dependable and punctualSALARY: $16.00 - $23.53 per hour; depending on experienceFLSA Status: Non-exemptEEO Statement:The Montgomery County School Board is an equal opportunity employer, committed to nondiscrimination in recruitment, selection, hiring, pay, promotion, retention, or other personnel action affecting employees or candidates for employment.
