Position Summary
The Service Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all incoming service requests for the service department at a CNC machine tool distributorship. This role serves as the primary point of contact between customers, field service technicians, parts department, and management to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, log, and prioritize incoming service calls and work orders
Schedule and dispatch field service technicians based on urgency, location, and skill set Maintain accurate service records and documentation in the service system Communicate service timelines and updates to customers Coordinate parts orders and service requirements with the parts department Follow up on open service tickets and ensure timely resolution Verify technician time entries, travel, and job notes for accuracy Assist with customer billing preparation and service documentation Monitor service workload and assist in resource planning Maintain customer service standards and professional communication Support service manager with reporting, scheduling, and service coordination duties
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in service coordination, dispatching, or customer service
Experience in CNC, manufacturing, or industrial equipment environments preferred Excellent organization and time-management skills Strong communication and customer service abilities Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and service management software Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
