Job DetailsDescriptionJob SummaryThe Certification Program Developer is responsible for managing all the efforts around the development, delivery, and maintenance of IAPP Certification Exams as well as ensuring the exams comply with ISO 17024/2012 standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesWork with Subject Matter Experts to develop, edit, revise, and validate, new exam items Build and maintain exams and item banks in Exam Developer systemPerform annual content updates to exams using psychometric principles and information provided by Psychometric vendorMaintain and update the support materials for each certification, including bodies of knowledge and exam blueprintsManage the activities of the exam development boardsFacilitate item writing workshopsCreate training materials for item writersManage and assist the Certification Director in supporting the growth of new certification programsManage special projects, as assigned, that support the continued improvement of the department’s exam development processesDevelop a Job Task Survey every three yearsHelp to remediate appeals and complaints regarding exam contentAssist with annual internal audit to support ANAB accreditationTravel to IAPP events to may be requiredPromote IAPP culture and core valuesAdditional DutiesAdditional duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experienced with item banking software and computer-based testing concepts.Work EnvironmentAt the IAPP, we value in-person connections fueled by fun, excellence, and communication.
